These are great expansion handsets. The only drawback is that these expandable handsets do not have a Headset Jack. Excellent sound quality, decent speaker phone. Married up to the base unit with a single button press. There may be a version that does, but this one does not allow you to plug in a corded headset. Otherwise, great expansion handset for the basement, spare bedroom, or garage.
Easy to set up,to use, great features.Love the spoken name of who is calling feature the most.
Phone works great. Love that I was able to purchase a additional handset at a later date (after my initial purchase).
Good battery life, good quality, reliable, and all the features I need. I now have three of these phones, two of them for over a year. I've had no problems with any of them. The RF range is outstanding. Not only does it work throughout the entire house and anywhere in my yard but I can walk almost a block from the house before the reception gives out.
Reception is unusually good - our most distant handset operates clearly and cleanly over 80 feet away from the base unit through several walls - and the DECT 6.0 does not interfere at all with other wireless equipment throughout the house. The only negative I can come up with is that these phones could be a bit less expensive, considering that the system does not have an answering machine component, but now that they have been out a while the price appears to be decreasing, which can only make them that much more attractive. LCD screen, which lights up when in use, has a font which is mid-size and easily readable - not as small as some phones, but not as large as some other Panasonic models.
We liked the original system so well that I later purchased the additional handsets to bring the system up to the maximum of six. Additional handsets plug in anywhere you have an AC outlet.
Bought the original set of two in Fall of 2008, and after more than a year of use I can certify that this particular phone set is a excellent quality phone with the added characteristics of being reliable and simple to operate. Every handset can function as a handsfree speakerphone, handy when you need both hands for whatever else you are working on.
Once you have "sync'd" the new sets to the existing system - simple with the instructions enclosed with each additional handset - you're ready to use. These phones are very user-friendly, with buttons clearly marked "Talk" and "Off".
The intercom feature is cool, too - you can select from the numbered sets listed on the LCD screen to ring any other unit in the house. I strongly recommend this particular model for anyone who wants complete coverage in a large house and uses phone company-supplied voice mail service.
